Dr. Dustin D. Benac, Founder
Dustin Benac (Th.D., Duke University) is a collaborative change maker. He has more than a decade of experience in development, working across higher education and nonprofit sectors. He is an internationally-recognized scholar with more than $8 million in grant awards and more than fifty other peer-reviewed publications or essays.
He is the author or editor of multiple books that explore the intersection of faith, philanthropy, and community change. His books include: Adaptive Church: Collaboration and Community in a Changing World, Crisis and Care: Meditations on Faith and Philanthropy, and Pathways to Belonging.
He has worked between nonprofit and university spaces, with experience as a researcher, teacher, and fundraiser at Duke University and Baylor University.
He currently teaches on the faculty at Baylor University, where he is the Director and the Future Communities Lab and oversees a grant-funded research program.
As the Founder of GrantScape, he collaborates with a national network to democratize the grant process and support community transformation.
